During her presentation, Director Pan provided a detailed overview of the current market conditions for lyocell fibers. According to data, global Lyocell production capacity exceeded 1 million tons by 2024, with China accounting for 60% of this capacity. Global production surpassed 800,000 tons, anticipated to exceed 1 million tons by 2025. In 2024, China's lyocell production reached 450,000 tons, with the industry operating rate improving to 85%. In terms of product flow, the domestic textile sector's market share has decreased, and the non-woven sector has also seen a decline, while exports have significantly increased. These statistics highlighted the vigorous development of the lyocell fiber market and underscored China's important position in the global landscape.

In light of the challenges faced by the textile industry, such as fluctuations in cotton prices, the need for product performance improvements, and balancing environmental concerns with cost, Director Pan emphasized that lyocell fiber, with its unique advantages, is poised to become a key solution. Lyocell fibers combine the benefits of natural and synthetic fibers, offering the comfort of cotton, the strength of polyester, and breathability associated with cellulosic fibers. Additionally, they can blend with various fibers to meet diverse application needs. As mass production scales up, the price becomes more accessible, providing better cost-performance ratios and creating more development opportunities for downstream applications, potentially establishing lyocell as the third most popular cellulosic fiber.

Director Pan also introduced the diverse spinning techniques for lyocell fibers and their resulting applications. Different spinning processes yield unique advantages; for example, compact-spun yarns have a tight structure and high abrasion resistance, while air-jet spun yarns are fluffy and high-yielding. The applications of lyocell fibers are continuously expanding in sectors such as denim, woven garments, and home textiles, increasingly becoming standard raw materials. Particularly in the knitting field, there is vast market potential. Through technologies like fiber locking and dyeing techniques, lyocell knitted fabrics exhibit outstanding performance in pilling resistance, dimensional stability, and feel, demonstrating clear advantages over other fiber products and finding widespread use in categories such as knitted underwear and sportswear. Additionally, the application of lyocell fibers is growing in new areas like socks, towels, and sewing threads, continually enriching the application landscape.

As a leading enterprise in the lyocell fiber sector, Sateri Group has shared its practical achievements in promoting industry development. In terms of supply chain collaboration, Sateri has united yarn, fabric, dyeing, and additive companies, as well as brand owners, to create an ecological chain, engaging in activities such as annual awards, technical exchanges, and new product R&D. In terms of technological innovation, Sateri has made significant strides; its annual capacity of 600,000 tons of lyocell fiber project was listed among the national major foreign investment projects, and its single line and single kettle 50,000 tons/year lyocell fiber production equipment and processes won the "First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress" awarded by the China National Textile and Apparel Council, showcasing the company's technological prowess and industry leadership.

As for the market outlook, Sateri Group expressed its commitment to sustainable development and technological breakthroughs. Through collaborative development across the supply chain, the company aims to further unlock the market potential of lyocell fibers. In its branding and marketing efforts, Sateri plans to promote knowledge of lyocell, cultivate consumer awareness, diversify product offerings, and expand application fields to drive the utilization of lyocell fibers in more industries. This conference served as an important platform for the development of the lyocell fiber industry, and Director Pan's insights directed industry participants toward a path of innovation and sustainable development, working together to embrace a promising future for the lyocell fiber industry.
